Online classes; what I find difficult in this blended learning system?

Due to the global outbreak of COVID 19, some institutions implemented online classes to quell the spread of coronavirus. Here in Aklan, this order was implemented March 16, 2020 to April 15, 2020. All students must stay at home and do all their requirements online. Students like me were given time to finish a specific activity in the allotted time. Teachers are doing there part by choosing a medium for teaching to be connected to students easily.

As a student, I can’t cope up with this system because I don’t have wifi at home and don’t have a better signal for mobile data. I was struggling to cope up with the deadlines and the right time to be online to have an attendance check. Even receiving the requirements that should be done is not easy because of the connection. As this week pass by, I adjusted to the situation because we don’t have a choice, this is for our safety. I would like to share some tips to cope up with this situation with some tips that could help you to finish your work with less worries.

First, find someone who could you trust and can help you. Since most of us have a best friend in school or anyone that could we trust, we could ask some bit of help to that person. If we don’t have a strong signal in the day time and we struggle to receive messages online maybe we could ask from this person to text us if there is something to do. By this, we can get an idea about the activity and we can plan our time to do it if the signal gets better.

Second, plan things out. At this point, we need to be strategic to ease the workload. Determine the activity that should be done using wifi and activities that doesn’t use wifi. During day time with the worst signal, we could use this time to do some activities that don’t need the internet or we can use our book to access some data that we need. At night we expect to have a good signal which we can work on to the activities that require the internet and also we can use this time to send out the activities to our teacher.

Lastly, be patient. We need to be patient at times like this because rant doesn’t do a thing. We just need to think that this is for ourselves. If we think this is a hassle for to us think about to the part of our teachers, do you think it is not hassled to reach out to all of us and to think about some activities that could help us to learn more and not to waste our time? We just need to think positively, positiveness can lead us to better understanding and stress-free.
